“I first met Mel Smith through Monica Hano, a Chiswick-based interior designer who choreographed the work involved in fusing two rooms into one in order to make a bedroom for our youngest child.
When I told her we were looking for someone to paint the outside of the house, which was badly neglected, she suggested him.
She recommended someone who turned out to be excellent and my wife and I are delighted we got him. The masonry, woodwork and sash windows were all in need of different treatments and what he did in terms of repair and restoration was excellent, just as his painting was.
